- where endometriosis left on my colon from a laparoscopy ATE A HOLE through it...God knows what else it could do in the future.
- given my recent hospital stay where I had ovarian cysts and possibly one that exploded... or maybe it was endometriosis making its reappearance...
- my left tube and ovary are smashed against the pelvic wall as of my last surgery, according to my OB. Which essentially makes my left side useless.
As you can see, it may not be in our best interest for me healthwise to have more children. Or, maybe it is possible but we have to do steps A, B and C before we TTC. Or maybe try for 6 months and then do A, B and C?! Basically they either want me pregnant or on Birth Control, because the longer I am off birth control, the sooner this endo could come back to haunt me. Although being pregnant should save me from the endo, it didn't save me in the summertime. My body is definitely not the norm when it comes to endometriosis and all of the doctors are terrified!
We will soon be seeing a specialist in Endometriosis and Infertility from the University of Michigan, that was referred to us by one of the OBs at the practice. He should have more information and insight on whether it is a good idea or not.
One of the doctors mentioned putting me on Lupron which kind of scares me. It is supposed to trick my body into thinking it is in menopause. I did searches on the Endometriosis Support board on Babycenter and it appears that it has worked for some. I know that right now, financially a second child will not work for us! We have so many hospital bills coming in from everywhere, and in addition to daycare and other monthly expenses... AHHHH!
